About The Camp Recovery Center
At the Camp Recovery Center, we have created a unique, nature-filled, holistic experience for those suffering with an addiction. Teens and adults are both welcome, as we have programs fit for both of these group’s needs. We focus on building character and self-esteem for the teens, while managing stress is a big focus in the adult program. Recovery is an important goal, but we realize that recovery isn’t the only goal those who seek treatment have. With the right tools, our patients learn responsibility again. Self-discovery is also a big part of the process and educating our guests on what addiction really is helps in this fundamental process.
For nearly 30 years, The Camp and its staff have dedicated their lives to healing the lives of those in need. Bringing together nature-filled activities, such as yoga, sets the foundation to bring inner peace and love within each one of our guests. Everyone comes with special needs and a unique past and each one of our treatments helps supplement recovery at their own pace. Surrounded by 25 acres of woods, the Camp offers a ROPE course and everyday outdoor exercise to renew the body and mind from its past decisions, experiences, and even mistakes. Learning to accept the past is the first step in moving towards a better future. We believe this holistic approach helps in letting go and changing direction of our desires.
Our full spectrum of treatment options allows each guest to experience what works for them and what doesn’t in their journey to recovery. All guests are encouraged to attend 12-Step meetings and several therapies. Family counseling is also offered in an attempt to bring the family closer to the patient in recovery. Family involvement is also very beneficial to lasting-recovery and is encouraged by our facility.
Recovery is a life-long process and help always supplements a higher success rate. Our care does not stop once you leave the Camp. Encouraging guests to participate in aftercare services is one of our missions in helping achieve long-term sobriety. Being there for our patients, no matter when, is what helps ease the comfort of continuing recovery for the rest of their lives.
You don’t have to be adventurous or outdoorsy to successfully recover at the Camp. This holistic experience is so much more than outdoor exercise. It provides a new sense of being, uniting your mind and body with your surroundings, bringing you closer to where you want to be in life.
