About Nourish in Recovery – Eating Disorders Treatment

Banyan’s Eating Disorder Program will provide you with the tools to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

Recognized as one of the deadliest mental illnesses in our nation, Banyan Treatment Centers has developed a transformative eating disorder program called Nourish in Recovery. At Banyan, we understand the challenges faced by those struggling with eating disorders. Our team uses clinical and holistic best practices to treat our clients and their families. Nourish in Recovery will provide you with the tools to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. We truly care about our patients and believe in an approach that is effective, but also realistic in producing intrinsic motivation for change. Being recovered from an eating disorder is possible and we are here to guide you on the path of healing.

Our outpatient program offers eating disorder support at several levels of care including Partial Hospitalization Programming and Intensive Outpatient Programming. While in treatment, clients work with clinical staff, therapists, registered dietitians, and mental health specialists to develop effective relapse-prevention strategies. Dietitians provide meal support along with meal planning education. The Nourish in Recovery population includes a diverse group of adults, veterans, and individuals in the LGBTQ+ community. Unlike most eating disorder programs, we are proud to announce we are an inclusive, all-gender program that offers help to as many individuals as we can.

At the heart of our program are our exposures with food and movement. Our team will lead our clients in supported exposures including grocery shopping, cooking skills, eating at restaurants, plating meals, and utilizing intuitive eating skills. Our movement program includes yoga twice per week as well as exposure at our movement studio with our movement instructor. Movement groups are led by our movement instructor with the support of a primary therapist. Groups include stretching, strength training, and more. Clients will have increasing challenges with exposure to mirrors during exercise. Our goal is to attain experience working through triggers that may inhibit recovery and to find balance with food and joyful movement. Start your journey to recovery today and take the first step to living a healthier, more balanced life.
