We are a group of friends from the greater Boston community helping others to recover from alcoholism & addiction. We do not subscribe to a single treatment model because we believe each individual case needs to be examined uniquely. NEATC is an outstanding experience on an outstanding platform, trusted like drug & alcohol rehabilitation should be. Our innovative evidence-based approach proves case-by-case care for addiction is more crucial than ever.
Joseph Vericker
Executive Director
Originally from Westchester NY, Joseph attained a bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies from Springfield College. He has worked in the addiction field for over 7 years in many capacities. Joseph executes the best business practices and development/implementation of policies and protocol in substance use disorder treatment. Joseph oversees all aspects of our program with the utmost sincerity and professionalism. He has extensive experience in the operations of each level of the addiction care continuum. His passion and drive is only surpassed by his integrity and determination while operating the program of Northeast Addictions Treatment Center.
Robert McLachlan
Director of Admissions
Robert, a native to the South Shore in Massachusetts comes to Northeast Addictions Treatment Center with 8 years’ experience in the addiction recovery field, 6 of those directly in Admissions. Robert received his bachelor’s degree in Business Management along with a minor in Health Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He is the first-line of contact in quickly assessing a client’s needs and being highly responsive on all the details to get clients on their way to getting well. Robert’s compassion and big heart make him one of the most important assets at Northeast Addictions Treatment Center.
Amy Fitzpatrick
Medical Director
Amy received her Doctor of Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her residency program at Brigham and Womens Hospital and Baystate Medical Center. She is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine.
Ed Mendelowitz
Ph.D., Clinical Director
Completed his doctoral studies at the California School of Professional Psychology where he worked closely with the preeminent psychologist and author Rollo May. He is on the Board of Editors for the Journal of Humanistic Psychology and the Humanistic Psychologies. He is the recent recipient of the Rollo May Award, bestowed by the American Psychological Association for “independent and outstanding pursuit of new frontiers in humanistic psychology.
