Zia Recovery Center is an addiction treatment provider in Las Cruces, New Mexico, offering a step-down continuum of care for adults struggling with alcohol, opioids, stimulants, prescription medications, and co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. Care typically begins with residential withdrawal management at ASAM Level 3.7, supervised around the clock by nursing staff under a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and usually lasting three to ten days. Clients then move through residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, standard outpatient, transitional living, and aftercare at a pace set by their clinical progress. Many staff members are in recovery themselves, and the team measures success by stable housing, employment, and improved mental health alongside sobriety.

In residential care, clients live on-site with 24/7 staff and follow a structured day of individual and group therapy, case management, life skills groups, and daily 12-step meetings in town, with chef-prepared meals and weekend outings around the Mesilla Valley. Clinical work draws on CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, and relapse prevention planning, and people with opioid use disorder can receive medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine or naltrexone. The IOP combines roughly 10 hours of weekly groups with individual psychotherapy while clients share staffed apartments, cook and shop together, and return to work or school, getting practical help with budgeting and job searching along the way. Graduates and others in the community can join an aftercare group that meets three nights a week, and they accept most major private insurance plans, New Mexico Medicaid, and self-pay.
