About Youth Town of Tennessee Inc
Youth Town of Tennessee is a faith-based nonprofit in Pinson, just outside Jackson, that has offered residential treatment to teenagers ages 13 to 17 for more than six decades. Their program is rooted in Christian faith and serves adolescents dealing with substance use alongside co-occurring mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, and trauma. The core of their care is a 120-day residential stay, after which teens can step down into outpatient care with Youth Town or get help from their therapists finding the right ongoing support elsewhere. They are accredited by the Joint Commission.
Each resident is paired with their own therapist for individual sessions focused on naming past pain and loss and recognizing how drug use, defiance, or other risky behavior may have served as a way of coping. Group therapy builds connection and shared accountability among peers, while family therapy works on communication, boundaries, and roles so the household can heal together. The coed campus serves up to 33 boys and girls, who are housed separately in dorms and cottages on 250 rural acres with an 18-acre lake. An on-site chef prepares three balanced meals a day, and they are raising funds for a new dormitory that will house 24 girls and open additional beds for boys.
