About Youth Opportunities Upheld Inc
Youth Opportunities Upheld Inc is a Worcester, Massachusetts provider of child and family behavioral health services, operating as part of Seven Hills Foundation, a large health and human services network serving central and southeastern Massachusetts. They offer integrated mental health and substance use care for children, adolescents, and their families, delivered at state-licensed outpatient clinics, in the home or community, or through telehealth. For young people struggling with substance use, they provide an individualized continuum of treatment and recovery support, backed by behavioral health urgent care, case management, and care coordination.
Outpatient services include individual, family, and couples counseling, specialized group therapy, child and adolescent psychiatry, and psychological testing and assessment. Through the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative, clinicians deliver intensive home-based support, and the team also provides counseling in public schools and early childhood mental health care for young children and their caregivers. For adolescents ages 12 to 18 referred by the Department of Children and Families, they run 24/7 staffed residential programs, ranging from short-term emergency stabilization at The Wetzel Center in Worcester to intensive treatment residences where stays typically last 9 to 12 months. In those homes, youth receive individual, group, family, and recreational therapy while continuing to attend community schools, and families can also tap into support groups along with help with housing, employment, nutrition, education, and recovery.
