Yamhill County Behavioral Health in McMinnville, Oregon, is the publicly funded behavioral health service of Yamhill County Health and Human Services, offering substance use and mental health care to county residents. Their care is trauma-informed and person-centered, beginning with a screening and assessment and shaped around each person’s history and needs. For adults with substance use disorders, they provide intensive outpatient treatment, a transitional program that pairs drug- and alcohol-free housing with intensive treatment, and a specialty recovery court. People who need residential care can receive interim support through the IOP while they wait for a bed to open.

The Transitional Treatment Recovery Services program is built for parents, with the aim of keeping children out of foster care or reuniting families sooner. Residents live in small supervised homes for women, men, or families and receive individual, group, and family counseling, CBT, DBT, EMDR, and CAMS for suicide risk, along with medication services, peer mentoring from Provoking Hope, and parent coaching through Lutheran Community Services. Children can receive Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and play therapy. The IOP can meet with clients up to five days a week and has staff trained in dual diagnosis and criminal thinking, while the 12- to 18-month recovery court serves people referred through the legal system and includes access to medication-assisted treatment.
