About Wise Path Recovery Centers

Wise Path Recovery Centers is a West Virginia addiction and behavioral health provider with two locations in Morgantown and another in Williamson. They treat drug and alcohol addiction alongside co-occurring mental health conditions, using evidence-based, integrative care delivered by a team of physicians, psychiatrists, registered nurses, and licensed clinical social workers. Their continuum includes detox and withdrawal management, short-term residential treatment, intensive outpatient (offered virtually), and standard outpatient care, with an initial assessment used to match each person to the right level of support.

Medication-assisted treatment with Suboxone or Vivitrol is available in both residential and outpatient settings, and residential clients also receive individual and group therapy and medication management. The intensive outpatient program meets for three hours, three evenings a week, in virtual groups that fit around work, school, and childcare. It adds biweekly one-on-one therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and substance monitoring, and many participants stay for eight to 12 weeks while working through cravings, triggers, and issues like anxiety, depression, or trauma. Standard outpatient involves fewer than nine hours a week of individual, group, and family therapy, and case managers help clients transition out by connecting them with AA or NA meetings, peer-led support groups, occupational therapy, and career counseling.
