About Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness
Wallowa Valley Center for Wellness is a community behavioral health provider in Enterprise, Oregon, serving individuals and families across rural Wallowa County. They began as the county’s mental health clinic more than 30 years ago and now offer mental health counseling, substance use treatment, crisis services, youth and family support, and developmental disability services. For people affected by drug or alcohol use, they provide outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment, and peer support, and they also work with family members who are affected by a loved one’s substance use.
Getting started begins with their Access Team, which completes an assessment and then matches each person with services and a clinician suited to their needs. Care is available in person at their clinics or through telehealth, and individual sessions typically last 50 to 60 minutes, with frequency set together with the provider. Because they also treat anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief, people dealing with both mental health and substance use concerns can find support in one place, and 24/7 crisis help is available for urgent situations. Staff travel widely to bring services into the community, no one is turned away for inability to pay thanks to a sliding fee scale and financial assistance, and interpreters and other language services are offered at no cost.
