About Virtue Recovery Houston
Virtue Recovery Houston is a small, Texas-licensed, Joint Commission accredited addiction treatment facility in southwest Houston, operated by Virtue Recovery Center. They offer two levels of care that function as one continuous plan: medically supervised detox, typically lasting several days to about two weeks, followed by intensive residential treatment that commonly runs three weeks or longer. Alcohol and methamphetamine are the substances they treat most often, followed by opioids including fentanyl, and they also treat benzodiazepine and cocaine addiction. Co-occurring mental health conditions are addressed with a psychiatric evaluation in the first 24 hours. Outpatient programming isn’t offered on site, so when clients are ready to step down, the team arranges outpatient care through a referral. They can’t continue methadone or begin a methadone taper at this location.
Within the first day, each client meets a case manager and primary clinician, completes a full clinical assessment, and receives an individualized treatment plan that is revised as care progresses. Therapy draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and motivational therapy, with cognitive processing therapy available for trauma and PTSD. Clinical groups meet six days a week and cover substance education, process work, and medication and infectious-disease education, with weekly family sessions when they’re helpful. Clients are also introduced to AA, NA, CODA, CA, HA, and SMART Recovery. Case management handles legal, medical, and housing needs from the start, which makes the program a practical option for people on probation or facing court dates. The team prepares documentation and coordinates directly with supervising officers when required.
