About Victory Programs Inc
Victory Programs is a Boston-based nonprofit offering low-barrier housing, recovery, and health services at more than 25 locations across Greater Boston. Their recovery work addresses substance use disorders alongside co-occurring mental health concerns, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other chronic conditions, with a focus on relapse prevention and building independence. Their approach starts with stable housing, on the belief that people who are struggling shouldn’t have to quit using, fix their mental health, or find a job on their own before getting basic support. Services are individualized and strengths-based, and a setback doesn’t cost someone their place in a program; they’re welcomed back to try again.
Staff use evidence-based methods, including Trauma-Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing, to help clients set and pursue their own goals. For mothers in recovery, a new transitional home at 16 Williams Street in Brookline will house 10 women and their young children, with round-the-clock clinical support and help with child reunification. Mobile medical case managers work mainly with people living with HIV, helping with MassHealth enrollment, appointments, transportation, rental assistance, food access, and keeping housing, while peers with lived experience can accompany clients to visits and help with paperwork. Through the Boston Living Center and street outreach, they also offer HIV, Hepatitis C, and STI testing, overdose prevention and safety kits, and a healthy meals program.
