About Valley Professionals Community Health
Valley Professionals Community Health is a community health center serving Terre Haute, Indiana, and nearby communities, offering primary care, behavioral health, psychiatry, dental, and other services under one roof. Their addiction care is delivered through the Valley Addictions Program (VAP), a specialized program for people living with substance use disorders. The program aims to help patients stop using drugs, stay drug-free, and rebuild their ability to function at home, at work, and in their community. When it is medically appropriate, they pair medication with behavioral health support as part of a whole-person approach.
Medication-assisted treatment at VAP centers on buprenorphine-naloxone (Suboxone), which is managed through a prior authorization process to confirm that the medication is a good fit and used properly. Every patient on Suboxone also takes part in ongoing counseling and behavioral health services, so medication is never the only piece of care. Because the program sits within a larger health center, patients can also reach psychiatry, individual and family counseling, primary care, community resource navigators, and virtual televisits. They accept most commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and self-pay, and they offer a sliding fee scale, help with insurance enrollment, and a prescription assistance program for eligible patients.
