About Valley Hope of Wichita
Valley Hope of Wichita is part of Valley Hope, a nonprofit addiction treatment organization that has served adults struggling with drugs and alcohol since 1967 through centers across the United States. They treat substance use disorders in men and women aged 18 and older, and they also address co-occurring mental health conditions such as depression and anxiety. Across their network, Valley Hope offers a continuum of care that includes medically monitored detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization, daytime and evening intensive outpatient programs, telehealth counseling, and weekly continuing care. Their approach treats mind, body, and spirit, with the 12 Step model built into how they deliver care.
Treatment combines individual counseling, small group therapy, classroom-style education on addiction and relapse prevention, and family therapy, along with trauma-informed and gender-responsive care. Medication-assisted treatment is available for opioid and alcohol addiction, and partial hospitalization typically runs five days a week with medical monitoring and planning for the step down to lower levels of care. Spiritual care is optional and non-denominational, and chaplains help patients of any belief system, including atheists and agnostics, work through issues like guilt, grief, and the 12 Steps. Valley Hope also offers dedicated programming for veterans, a family care program for loved ones, and a lifelong alumni network that keeps former patients connected through peer support and events.
