Twin Town Treatment Centers in West Hollywood, California, is one of six outpatient sites run by a long-standing Southern California provider of drug and alcohol addiction treatment for adults and adolescents. Their approach centers on outpatient care, so clients can stay at home, keep up with work or school, and put new coping skills to use right away. They also coordinate with each client’s doctors, mental health providers, family, and workplace supports. Levels of care include day treatment, intensive outpatient (IOP), continuing care, and a relapse track, while ambulatory detox and medication-assisted treatment are arranged through affiliated physicians. They are accredited by The Joint Commission, in-network with most major insurers except Kaiser, and certified to serve Medi-Cal patients in Los Angeles and Orange Counties.

The IOP meets three hours a day, up to six days a week, with adults and adolescents counseled separately, and it focuses on abstinence, relapse prevention, disease-model education, stress management, problem solving, and family communication. Day treatment offers longer daily programming as an alternative to inpatient care for people with more acute needs. After the first phase, clients step down to shorter sessions and lean more on 12-step or other support groups, and they receive four months of continuing care that many managed care plans cover at no added cost. Other features include a family group on codependency, roles, and boundaries, ten free IOP sessions for graduates who relapse, an Alcohol and Drug Education program with drug testing and SAP, EAP, and DOT coordination, and a monthly alumni group.
