About Trillium Place
Trillium Place is a not-for-profit behavioral health organization in Peoria, Illinois, affiliated with Carle Health and formed through the merger of several regional providers, including the former Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery. They treat substance use disorders involving alcohol, opioids, cannabis, stimulants, sedatives, hallucinogens, inhalants, and tobacco, and they also provide mental health care for children, teens, and adults. For adults, the continuum runs from medically supported withdrawal management and inpatient care to gender-specific residential treatment, day treatment (partial hospitalization) with or without boarding, intensive outpatient, and continuing care. Teens can receive outpatient treatment, and virtual outpatient programs are available for people who prefer to get care from home.
Every client starts with an assessment, and the team uses it to match them with the right level of care. Medication-assisted recovery is built into the program and pairs counseling with medications such as methadone, buprenorphine products like Suboxone, naltrexone (including monthly Vivitrol injections), acamprosate, and tobacco cessation aids. Adult programming combines individual and group counseling, educational groups, family programming, 12-step peer support, leisure and fitness activities, and individualized discharge planning, with both daytime and evening groups offered. Adolescents receive outpatient counseling focused on communication and relapse prevention, and weekly early intervention sessions are open to teens and adults with at-risk substance use. They also offer court-ordered DUI evaluations, risk education, and 24/7 crisis services.
