Tri-County Human Services is a private, not-for-profit behavioral health organization serving Polk, Hardee, and Highlands Counties in Central Florida, offering treatment for substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders. They are CARF accredited and provide a full continuum of care, from medically supervised detox and residential treatment to transitional programs, halfway houses, intensive outpatient, and standard outpatient counseling. Adults can be referred on either a voluntary or involuntary basis, and each person receives an evaluation that shapes an individualized plan in the least restrictive setting that fits their needs. They serve everyone regardless of ability to pay, with discounts based on family size and income.

Outpatient care includes assessment, individual, group, couples, and family counseling, education groups, case management, aftercare, drug screening, and medication-assisted treatment, with psychiatric services available at select clinics and nearly everything offered by telehealth. Their intensive outpatient track requires at least nine hours per week, and they also counsel children and teens, encouraging parents to take part in every stage of a minor’s treatment. Residential options include the Florida Center for Addictions and Dual Disorders, the RASUW Center for Women, New Beginning transitional treatment centers for men and for women, and the Agape Halfway House for Women. They also run in-jail substance use treatment and state-approved DUI classes, evaluations, and ignition interlock monitoring, which can help people meet court or licensing requirements while addressing their substance use.
