Travco Behavioral Health is a CARF-accredited outpatient addiction and mental health provider serving the Youngstown area, with offices in Boardman and Warren, Ohio, and they work with children, adolescents, and adults. Their approach is built around reducing the stigma that keeps people from seeking help and honoring each person’s own path to recovery, so they offer medication-assisted treatment alongside traditional abstinence-based options. Addiction care includes intensive outpatient and non-intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults, and people who need medical detox or residential treatment can be connected to their affiliate, First Step Recovery, which also refers clients back to Travco for continuing care. Beyond substance use, they treat conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD, and schizophrenia.

Their IOP meets three hours a day, three days a week, for eight to 12 weeks, with morning and afternoon groups and an evening option at the Boardman office, followed by a twice-weekly step-down program. MAT for addiction includes Suboxone and Vivitrol, supported by nursing services, urinalysis testing, relapse prevention programming, and group sessions on topics like cravings, denial, family dynamics, and anger management. Clinicians draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, the ABC model, art therapy, and play therapy for younger clients, along with psychiatric evaluations, medication management, case management, family therapy, and telehealth at select locations. For depression that hasn’t responded to other treatment, they also provide Spravato and NeuroStar transcranial magnetic stimulation, and they accept most private insurance, Medicaid, and Medicare.
