About Therapeutic Health Services
Therapeutic Health Services (THS) is a CARF-accredited nonprofit that has offered addiction and mental health care in Seattle and across King and Snohomish Counties since 1972. They are best known for medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, including addiction to heroin, fentanyl, and prescription painkillers. They also treat alcohol and other drug use and offer mental health care for anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia. Care is meant to be affordable: they accept Medicaid/Apple Health, Medicare, and most private insurance, offer a sliding fee scale, and need no referral to start.
The opioid program pairs methadone, dosed daily on-site under medical supervision, or Suboxone with individual counseling, group support, case management, and medical monitoring. A physician chooses the medication after an initial assessment, and walk-ins are accepted at their methadone clinic locations. Their Pregnant & Parenting Program helps expectant and parenting mothers with prenatal and recovery skills groups, parenting and family support, access to a public health nurse and WIC, and counseling on domestic violence, sexual abuse, and reproductive health. They also work with the King County Drug Court and provide psychiatric and mental health services alongside addiction treatment, so people with co-occurring conditions can get both kinds of care in one place.
