About Ten Sixteen Recovery Network

Ten Sixteen Recovery Network, known as Ten16, is a nonprofit addiction treatment and recovery organization that has served Central Michigan since 1979. Their Clare location is one of several outpatient counseling sites in a network of about two dozen program locations. Their approach is abstinence-based and holistic, centered on helping people build a life fully free of drugs and alcohol while addressing physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Care ranges from residential rehab on an 18-acre wooded campus near Midland, which typically lasts 30 to 45 days, to ongoing outpatient counseling and sober recovery housing for men and women.

Outpatient care combines individual and group therapy grounded in evidence-based practices with peer support, and many staff members are in recovery themselves. Counselors also treat co-occurring depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress alongside substance use, using individualized plans that are reviewed at least every 90 days. Clients receiving medication-assisted treatment from an outside prescriber are welcome in outpatient care, and telehealth may be arranged case by case after an in-person assessment. Residential clients take part in individual, group, and family counseling and life-skills work, and families can join through Family Clinical Days and weekly visits. Every outpatient site also serves as a free drop-in Recovery Center, and outpatient services accept Medicaid and most commercial insurance.
