Symetria Recovery’s Naperville clinic, located in Warrenville, Illinois, is an outpatient program for adults with opioid or alcohol use disorder, built around the schedules of working people and family caregivers. They pair FDA-approved medication with counseling and on-site psychiatry under a single treatment plan, an approach they call The Symetria Method. Care is offered through medication-assisted treatment, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and lower-frequency outpatient follow-up. Patients set the goals and make decisions with the care team, and same-day assessments are often possible.

On the medication side, they prescribe methadone, which can start the same day and is dosed daily on-site, as well as Suboxone, with take-home prescriptions possible once a patient is stable, and naltrexone in oral or injectable form for opioid or alcohol cravings. The IOP meets three weekdays a week for about nine hours of counselor-led group work, with morning and evening options and some virtual sessions. Groups are capped at twelve people, and most patients stay nine to twelve weeks. Every patient has access to unlimited one-on-one counseling, skills workshops, psychiatric care for depression, anxiety, and trauma, family sessions, and case management that includes employer documentation. They do not discharge patients for a setback or relapse and instead adjust the plan, and the program is CARF accredited.
