About Sunrise Treatment Center
Sunrise Treatment Center in Milford, Ohio, is one of a network of outpatient clinics across the state that have treated adults with substance use disorders since 2007, with mental health support built into care. They start from the view that recovery often takes many attempts, sometimes the eighth or twentieth, and they keep working with patients through setbacks instead of turning them away. Care ranges from standard non-intensive outpatient visits to an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), with medication treatment available for substance use disorders. They also run a dedicated program for problem gambling.
The IOP is a 16-week group curriculum with morning and afternoon options and at least nine hours of services each week, including weekly one-on-one counseling. Patients on medication also see a medical provider at least monthly. IOP is often recommended for people with several past treatment attempts, use of more than one substance, or unstable life circumstances, and patients who need more support are referred to partial hospitalization, residential, or inpatient care. The gambling program uses standardized screening, individual and group counseling, motivational interviewing, and case management that links patients to financial counseling and help with debt. They accept Ohio Medicaid, Medicare, and many commercial plans, and a sliding fee scale based on income means no one is refused care for inability to pay.
