About Suncross Foundation
Suncross Foundation is a nonprofit outpatient addiction treatment program in Fresno, California, serving adults throughout the Central Valley. Operating under Home Shelter Community Services, they help people struggling with alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and nicotine. Care begins with an individualized assessment, which leads to standard outpatient counseling, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), or telehealth sessions, with medication treatment added when a qualified provider finds it appropriate. People arrive by many routes: on their own, through a court or probation requirement, while supporting a family member, or as a next step after another program.
IOP meets on weekdays in a three-hour morning or evening block, so participants can keep up with work, school, and family. The lighter outpatient track offers one-hour groups on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and individual counseling and online sessions are scheduled as needed. Clinicians draw on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, rational emotive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing and motivational enhancement, contingency management, and relapse prevention work. They also teach harm reduction, including overdose risk and naloxone use, and accept both insurance and private pay.
