About Stages of Recovery Inc

Stages of Recovery is a family-owned, long-term addiction and dual diagnosis treatment program in Lubbock, Texas, serving young adults near Texas Tech University since 2007. They treat drug and alcohol addiction alongside co-occurring mental health conditions and trauma, and they combine clinical care with a twelve-step foundation. Their Lubbock campus offers their full continuum of care, including partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and outpatient treatment with psychiatric services, followed by aftercare. Treatment is built around gradual, progressive stages, and stays typically run from about 16 weeks to two years, depending on the level of care.

While in clinical treatment, clients can live in The Door Sober Living Residences, the program’s JCAHO-accredited transitional housing. Women stay in a furnished single-family home in the Lubbock Country Club area, and men live in a 16-unit apartment complex in Southwest Lubbock. Care includes intensive group work and individual counseling, with an emphasis on relapse prevention, practical life skills, repairing relationships, and outside support meetings. Families are kept involved throughout, and clients leave with ongoing support from alumni and staff, which may appeal to anyone who wants a structured, extended path back to school, work, and independent living.
