About Spectrum Healthcare
Spectrum Healthcare is a CARF-accredited, nonprofit opioid treatment program in Jersey City, New Jersey, that has served Hudson County since 1984. They focus on opioid use disorder, pairing medication with individual and group counseling, medical consultation, and mental health care so people can recover without stepping away from their family, job, or community. Their care includes outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient services with several sessions a week, and both short- and long-term options. Each person starts with an intake assessment that sets their level of care and an individualized plan.
As a licensed opioid treatment program, they offer methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), monthly Sublocade injections, and Vivitrol (naltrexone), whether someone needs help through withdrawal or ongoing maintenance. They also provide integrated treatment for co-occurring mental health conditions, along with case management, care coordination, and referrals for medical care, housing, employment, and specialty services. Same-day admission, Saturday availability, telehealth sessions, and virtual dosing through the Sonara platform for eligible clients make treatment easier to keep up with. Their Mobile Medication Unit travels around Hudson County, offering low-barrier access to medication, peer support, harm reduction education, and naloxone for people who struggle to reach a traditional clinic.
