About Spectrum Health Systems Inc
Spectrum Health Systems is a nonprofit provider of substance use disorder and behavioral health treatment with outpatient centers in Worcester, Massachusetts, and many other communities across the state. They treat addiction to alcohol, opioids, and other substances, viewing it as a chronic disease that usually calls for ongoing care after the first step. Their levels of care include medically supervised inpatient detox, clinical stabilization, residential treatment, and outpatient services. A central admissions center that runs 24/7 helps individuals and families find the right starting point.
At their outpatient centers, including the Worcester locations, clients can receive methadone and naltrexone (Vivitrol), and buprenorphine (Suboxone) induction is offered at the Main Street site. Each client gets a clinical assessment, a medical evaluation, an individualized treatment plan, and individual, group, or family counseling. Scheduled same-day admission lets someone in withdrawal complete intake and possibly take a first dose in about three to four hours, and the Pleasant Street site offers rapid access to naltrexone and buprenorphine for opioid and stimulant use disorders. For those needing a higher level of care, separate men’s and women’s residential programs combine counseling, relapse prevention, recovery groups, and recreation with a continuing care plan, and their New England Recovery Center offers detox and residential treatment for privately insured and self-pay clients.
