About Southwestern Recovery Center
Southwestern Recovery Center in Waverly, Ohio, is one of several outpatient clinics run by a provider that has offered medication-assisted treatment since 2017, with sister locations in Columbus and The Plains near Athens. Their main focus is opioid use disorder, including addiction to heroin, fentanyl, and prescription painkillers, but they also treat alcohol and stimulant use disorders along with co-occurring mental health conditions. Care is delivered on an outpatient basis, so patients can continue living at home while working toward recovery in a nonjudgmental setting.
Treatment centers on buprenorphine, which their medical providers prescribe in oral and injectable forms, such as Suboxone, Subutex, Sublocade, Brixadi, and Zubsolv, to ease withdrawal and curb cravings. Each patient works with a care team to build a personalized plan that combines medical evaluations, medication management, and individual counseling aimed at developing coping skills and emotional stability. They also coordinate with recovery housing programs, local courts, and community organizations, and they serve as a preferred provider for the Franklin County Courts’ MARCH program. Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans are accepted.
