About Southern Indiana Comprehensive

Southern Indiana Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is an outpatient opioid treatment clinic in Charlestown, Indiana, and part of the national Comprehensive Treatment Centers network. They work with adults age 18 and older of all genders who are living with opioid use disorder, including addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, morphine, and other opioids. Their approach centers on medication-assisted treatment (MAT), pairing medication that eases cravings and withdrawal with ongoing counseling so recovery addresses more than the physical side of addiction. New patients can get same-day admission, and appointments can be scheduled around the clock.

Unlike clinics that rely on a single medication, they offer several options, including methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone®, and naltrexone. Their doctors and nurses tailor the medication and dose to each person, recognizing that people respond differently to these treatments. Alongside medication, patients take part in individual and group therapy, where they explore the experiences and emotions that may have contributed to their opioid use. Take-home dosing is available for eligible patients, and they accept most insurance plans, which can make long-term participation more manageable.
