About Southeast Healthcare
Southeast Healthcare is a nonprofit community health provider based in Columbus, Ohio, offering integrated primary and behavioral healthcare, including mental health and chemical dependency services, across eight Ohio counties. Operating since 1978, they treat the whole person by addressing physical health, behavioral health, and practical life needs together, grounded in the belief that everyone has the capacity to grow and change. They serve people of all ages and backgrounds regardless of ability to pay, offer income-based discounts, and accept Medicaid, Medicare, and many private insurance plans.
Care follows a Primary Care Medical Home model, so patients can often see their primary care doctor, a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner, nurses, and the rest of their treatment team in the same building. Each person receives an individualized care plan, and services are trauma-informed and built on evidence-based practices, with daytime crisis support available at all locations. Beyond behavioral health, they offer dental care, an in-house pharmacy, mobile primary care, tobacco cessation, HIV and hepatitis C treatment, and acupuncture. For people facing housing or employment barriers, they also run homeless services in central Ohio, including a men’s emergency shelter, as well as vocational programs focused on jobs, economic stability, and life skills.
