Healthy U Behavioral Health, operated by Sober Life Recovery Solutions LLC, is an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment clinic in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, California. They treat alcohol and drug use disorders, including opioids, stimulants, benzodiazepines, cannabis, hallucinogens, inhalants, and synthetic drugs, alongside conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. Care is offered through a Partial Hospitalization Program, an Intensive Outpatient Program with three intensity levels, and virtual outpatient and intensive outpatient options, including a virtual track for adolescents. Substance use and mental health are treated in separate tracks, with a dual-diagnosis option for people facing both, and clients work with the same team member from their first appointment onward.

The PHP runs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and begins with a psychiatric evaluation within 72 hours, combining individual counseling, group therapy, art therapy, and skill-building. Depending on need, treatment can also include family therapy, medication-assisted treatment (methadone is not offered), routine drug testing, and help arranging sober living and transportation. IOP ranges from 9 to 15 hours per week of group talk therapy focused on coping strategies, self-esteem, and understanding addiction, while most virtual IOP participants must live in California. Families can join a free weekly virtual support group with the client’s consent, graduates can attend alumni meetings every other Monday along with sober social outings, and Healthy U is in-network with most major insurers, with single case agreements available for Kaiser members.
