About Sinnissippi Centers Inc
Sinnissippi Centers is a nonprofit community behavioral health agency based in Dixon, Illinois, serving residents of Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties since 1966. They treat both mental health conditions and substance use disorders, and their work is guided by values such as nonjudgmental compassion, inclusion, and advocacy for the people and families they serve. For addiction, care is primarily outpatient, ranging from individual counseling to a day and evening intensive outpatient program (IOP), with continuing care groups for people moving past the most intensive phase. They are accredited by The Joint Commission and run a 24-hour crisis line along with crisis stabilization services.
Treatment usually starts with a combined mental health and substance use assessment, and people with co-occurring conditions can receive dual diagnosis care in one place. Medication-assisted recovery is available, and psychiatric services, including medication assessment and monitoring, are offered at each of their main offices. Therapy options include trauma-focused work, EMDR, DBT groups, family counseling, and Wellness Recovery Action Plan groups, while DUI evaluations, risk education, and court-involved services support people facing legal requirements. They also operate separate recovery homes for men and women, offer programming for young adults ages 18 to 25, and provide remote interpreting, with on-demand Spanish support.
