About Seafield Center Inc
Seafield Center is a family-run, 100-bed inpatient detox and rehabilitation facility in Westhampton Beach, New York, serving men and women ages 16 and older who are struggling with alcohol and drug use. Open since 1985, they are licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and accredited by the Joint Commission, with a philosophy of treating the whole person physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Beyond medical detox and residential rehab, their wider network includes five outpatient programs across Long Island offering intensive, group, and individual sessions, along with sober living homes where people can stay for up to six months. They are in-network with most insurance plans and offer self-pay rates when coverage falls short.
Inpatient clients are placed in gender-specific groups, and dual-focus groups led by specially trained counselors are available for those also dealing with depression, anxiety, or other co-occurring conditions. Recovery is grounded in Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous principles, with 12-step meetings held on site every day, and a medical director board-certified in psychiatry and addiction medicine oversees care, including psychiatric evaluations. Medication-assisted treatment with naltrexone and buprenorphine is monitored by the medical team, while acupuncture, meditation, yoga, nutritional counseling, recreation therapy, and spiritual guidance round out the daily schedule. Specialty groups for LGBT clients, people with eating disorders, and survivors of domestic violence form as needed, and outpatient treatment for gambling addiction is available in Patchogue, Medford, and Riverhead.
