About Samuels House

Samuels House is a residential treatment program for men in Lemoore, California, run by Champions Recovery Alternative Programs, a nonprofit that has provided substance use disorder care to Kings and Tulare County residents since 2000. Licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services, they offer ASAM level 3.1 residential treatment along with ASAM level 3.2 withdrawal management at the same site, so men can move from detox into ongoing care without relocating. Their approach combines temporary housing with treatment centered on family reunification and on the physical, emotional, and spiritual health of each person.

Samuels House works alongside the Champions Day Reporting Center and Female Day Reporting Center, and the program tackles criminal thinking and behavior as well as drug and alcohol use, which makes it a strong fit for men involved with the justice system. Residents build relapse prevention skills and learn to take responsibility for the changes they want to make. The program aims to help them stay abstinent, gain structure and stability, develop practical skills for daily life, pursue vocational and educational opportunities, and repair strained family relationships. For continued support after residential care, Champions also runs outpatient and intensive outpatient programs in Hanford for adults who are enrolled in or eligible for Medi-Cal.
