About Saint Illa Center
Saint Illa Center in Waycross, Georgia, is a residential addiction treatment campus run by Unison Behavioral Health, which provides mental health, substance use, and developmental disability services across eight southeast Georgia counties. Their mission centers on building health and wellness in local communities, and the St. Illa campus houses two programs. The St. Illa Residential Treatment Center is a 26-bed program for men and women recovering from substance use disorders. The St. Illa Crisis Stabilization Unit is a 16-bed short-term program for people in a mental health or substance use crisis, and it includes detox.
In the crisis unit, patients receive psychiatric and medical evaluations, individual and group treatment, and help planning aftercare before discharge. The same campus offers supportive housing for people in mental health or addiction treatment who are homeless or struggling to keep stable housing. As part of the larger Unison network, residents can step down to outpatient care, including psychiatry, therapy, medication-assisted treatment, peer support, case management, and transportation assistance. Unison also runs Garden Gate, a separate long-term residential program where mothers can bring their children, with priority given to pregnant women who use opioids or inject drugs.
