About Rosecrance Inc
Rosecrance is a long-established behavioral health organization with more than a century of experience, serving teens, adults, and families from a Chicago presence and dozens of other sites across Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Indiana. They treat substance use disorders involving alcohol, opioids, stimulants, cannabis, and sedatives, along with gambling, co-occurring mental health conditions, and eating disorders. Their continuum includes residential care, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), one-on-one outpatient therapy, medication-assisted treatment, and structured recovery housing. In Chicago, adults can attend an in-person PHP for substance use that typically runs four to five hours a day for a few weeks while they continue living at home.
A typical IOP track involves about nine hours of group counseling each week for eight to 10 weeks, followed by a lighter step-down phase of roughly five hours weekly and then individualized continuing care, with in-person and virtual options for both adolescents and adults. Programming blends individual and group counseling with relapse prevention planning, family support, introductions to 12-Step meetings, and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for people managing co-occurring conditions. For opioid and alcohol use, their physicians can prescribe FDA-approved medications such as Suboxone, Sublocade, Vivitrol and oral naltrexone, Campral, and Antabuse alongside counseling. Clients complete periodic progress surveys so their clinical team can adjust treatment as needs change, and a separate 12-week virtual IOP for eating disorders adds a registered dietitian, meal support, and medical monitoring.
