For adults 18 and older, they provide medically assisted detox in a private room, where nurses track withdrawal symptoms continuously with the CIWA scale and physicians prescribe medication to ease the process. Detox can be followed by a 30-day inpatient rehabilitation program that treats mental health and substance use at the same time, with daily psychiatrist visits and an internal medicine physician addressing medical problems that drinking or drug use may have worsened. After inpatient care, patients can move to a step-down program that meets three times a week and includes weekly medication management with a psychiatrist.

Teens with substance use and co-occurring issues such as depression or anxiety are treated through the Trust Program, which is a licensed provider of the Seven Challenges model, an approach built to engage young people who feel ambivalent about changing their drug or alcohol use. Adolescents who are ready to commit to sobriety are also introduced to 12-step principles and cognitive behavioral therapy. Adults take part in group and individual therapy focused on emotion regulation and distress tolerance, and they are encouraged to work the first step, find a sponsor, and connect with a home group before discharge. Each patient’s care team includes a psychiatrist, nurses, a licensed mental health therapist, a dietitian, and a recreational therapist, while case managers help with discharge planning, aftercare, insurance questions, and coordination with providers back home.
