About Rigel Recovery Services

Rigel Recovery Services in Marietta, Ohio, is the southeast Ohio branch of Oriana House’s behavioral health program, offering addiction and mental health treatment that people can access whether or not they’re involved with the criminal justice system. Opened in 2017 to serve a 14-county region, they take a whole-person approach that looks at physical and mental health, relationships, home and work life, sober support networks, and past trauma when it’s relevant. Care options include residential treatment at their Rigel Recovery Residential Center in Marietta, day treatment (partial hospitalization), outpatient counseling, medications for opioid use disorder, and aftercare. They accept Medicaid and offer a sliding fee scale for those without coverage.

The residential program serves men and women, typically for 60 to 90 days, with round-the-clock staffing by licensed clinicians, chemical dependency counselors, and a nurse practitioner, plus individual and group therapy, trauma counseling, and medication support with Vivitrol, buprenorphine, or injectable buprenorphine. For those who need intensive care while living at home, day treatment runs four days a week, combining group work, mental health counseling, and medication as needed, while standard outpatient sessions focus on managing triggers and cravings and offer specialized groups on trauma, sexual health, anger management, and parenting. Teens in the southeast Ohio region can receive assessments and individual counseling, including after-school appointments. Certified peer recovery supporters help clients connect with community resources, and free information and support sessions are open to family members.
