About Release Recovery Centers LLC

Release Recovery Centers is a licensed outpatient program in Purchase, New York, treating substance use and mental health. They are part of the Release behavioral health community, which Zac Clark founded in 2017 drawing on his own long-term recovery, and many staff members also bring lived experience. Their care rests on the belief that nearly everyone entering treatment carries some form of trauma, so the work is trauma-informed and evidence-based. Clients can step through a Partial Hospitalization Program, standard and evening Intensive Outpatient Programs, and an Outpatient Program, and the clinic holds Joint Commission accreditation and an OASAS license.

Therapy draws on CBT, DBT, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, motivational interviewing, Internal Family Systems, and the NeuroAffective Relational Model, which addresses complex and developmental trauma, all delivered in gender-specific groups. Every client gets weekly individual sessions and medication management with the Chief Medical Officer, and PHP adds 25 weekly group hours, case management, and optional peer-supported housing. The evening IOP is built for working professionals, full-time students, and busy parents, while the daytime IOP focuses on emotional regulation, identity, boundaries, and relapse prevention. Beyond clinical care, they offer private-pay transitional living, intervention, safe transport, case management, and recovery coaching that uses hiking, fishing, and rock climbing to build confidence and daily life skills.
