About Red Door Residential
Red Door Residential is the men’s residential program in Hudson, New York, run by Twin County Recovery Services (TCRS), a nonprofit that also operates licensed outpatient clinics in Hudson and Catskill and a separate women’s residence in Catskill. They treat substance use disorders with person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented care. Residential services combine in-house treatment with safe, supportive housing that carries men from the earliest stages of recovery toward a return to work, school, and family life. Admission to residential care calls for a LOCADTR referral, a psychosocial or psychiatric evaluation, a medical history and physical, a drug screen, a PPD test, a current medication list, and proof of a Temporary Assistance application.
Because Red Door is part of a larger network, residents can step down into TCRS outpatient care, including an intensive outpatient program designed around work and family commitments. That program offers individual and group counseling, relapse prevention, co-dependency counseling, parenting education, life skills training, and medication-assisted treatment with Vivitrol and Suboxone. Men in residential or outpatient treatment can also work with Certified Recovery Peer Advocates, people with their own lived experience of addiction who are trained to support others through recovery. For relatives, a free Family Support Navigator program provides addiction education, support groups, insurance advocacy, and guidance on the next steps when a loved one is in crisis.
