About Recovery Unlimited

Recovery Unlimited is an outpatient behavioral health organization in Colorado Springs, Colorado, treating substance use and mental health conditions side by side. Founded in 2011 by licensed addiction counselor Dawn Martin, they build individualized plans around each person’s needs, with an emphasis on dignity, respect, and involving the family in healing. Care options include outpatient medication-supported detox that can be completed at home or at the El Paso County Detoxification Center (methadone is not used for detox), standard outpatient counseling, and a 12-week intensive outpatient program. Both walk-in and scheduled appointments are available, and no referral is needed.

The intensive outpatient track pairs nine hours of weekly group therapy with one-on-one work with a dedicated counselor, so clients can keep up with work and home life. Clinical services span individual, group, couples, and family therapy, along with CBT, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-focused care for survivors of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse, plus support for domestic violence victims. They also offer co-occurring treatment, medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric medication management, case management, and basic primary care. For people with legal requirements, there are court-approved evaluations, parole support, Level Four Plus DUI education and therapy, and interlock enhancement counseling. A free weekly CRAFT group helps families cope, and a sliding fee scale means no one is turned away for inability to pay.
