Recovery Revolution Inc is an independent, not-for-profit outpatient addiction treatment center in Bangor, Pennsylvania, serving adolescents and adults in the Slate Belt Region and the surrounding Northampton County area. Founded in 2005 by Executive Director Jana Morris to fill a gap in affordable local care, they are licensed by the state’s Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs to provide outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization services. They treat alcohol and drug addiction as well as gambling problems, viewing addiction as a progressive disease that affects the body, mind, and spirit. Admission isn’t tied to insurance coverage, and when no other funding is available, they offer clinically appropriate treatment at little or no cost.

Care is rooted in 12-Step principles, which counselors tailor to each client through an approach they call “Steps for Healthy Living,” focused on building practical skills for a healthier, more productive life without alcohol or drugs. Their small clinical team is made up of bachelor’s- and master’s-level certified or licensed clinicians with decades of combined experience in the addictions field. Families can take part in a dedicated six-week program covering codependency, enabling behaviors, and sober support. An active alumni association also stays involved with current clients, which helps create a close-knit, welcoming environment that many people describe as feeling like home.
