About Recovery Place Inc

Recovery Place is a long-running behavioral health and addiction treatment provider in Savannah, Georgia, serving clients since 1984 with both in-person and virtual care. They are CARF-accredited and treat drug and alcohol addiction alongside co-occurring mental health conditions, with counseling that also addresses depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, eating disorders, gambling, and grief. Their levels of care include detox, a 28-day residential program, day treatment, intensive outpatient, part-time Level One outpatient, and transitional housing for men in recovery. Each person starts with an assessment that guides their placement, and they accept all insurance except Medicare.

Their intensive outpatient program runs for at least three months, with sessions three to five days a week totaling 10 to 30 hours, and morning, afternoon, and evening times available. Therapy draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, exposure therapy, and group and family therapy, supplemented by yoga, meditation, and group outings. Specialized tracks include a Survivor’s Workshop that examines childhood trauma and abuse as hidden relapse triggers, a Professional Resource Program offering treatment and extended monitoring for pilots, nurses, physicians, and others in safety-sensitive jobs, and women’s services designed for pregnant women and mothers with dependent children. Families can join an eight-week educational program, and clients leave with an aftercare plan that connects them to ongoing recovery support.
