About Recovery Place Inc
Recovery Place is a CARF-accredited behavioral health and addiction treatment provider in Savannah, Georgia, serving adults with drug and alcohol use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and related concerns since 1984. Their care starts with an individual assessment that leads to a personalized plan, and they focus on uncovering the root causes of substance use while building practical coping skills. They offer detox, a 28-day residential program, day treatment, intensive outpatient, part-time Level One outpatient, and long-term recovery residences, along with virtual care and recovery support through Zoom. They accept all insurance except Medicare.
Their intensive outpatient program runs at least three months, with sessions three to five days a week totaling 10 to 30 hours. Morning, afternoon, and evening options make it workable for people with jobs or children. Therapy draws on cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, EMDR, exposure therapy, and group and family therapy, supplemented by yoga, meditation, and group outings. Specialized tracks include a Survivor’s Workshop that addresses childhood trauma and abuse as hidden relapse risks, and a Professional Resource Program offering advocacy, treatment, and extended monitoring for pilots, nurses, physicians, pharmacists, and others in safety-sensitive roles. They also provide women’s services that reduce barriers for pregnant women and mothers with dependent children, structured transitional housing for men, and an eight-week educational program for families.
