Recovery Centers of America (RCA) at Devon is a drug, alcohol, and mental health treatment campus on Philadelphia’s Main Line, about 20 miles outside the city. They treat substance use disorders, co-occurring conditions, and primary mental health diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia. Care spans medical detox, residential addiction treatment, residential mental health treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), and on-campus sober living, so patients can step down without leaving the grounds. Admissions run around the clock, including same-day admission, fast-tracked transfers from hospitals and emergency departments, and transportation help for out-of-state patients.

Detox includes 24/7 nursing, vital-sign monitoring, and withdrawal medications, typically for up to a week, and planning for the next stage of care begins during that time. Treatment follows one of four tracks: Foundations of Recovery for first-time patients, Fresh Start for people returning after a relapse, Balance for addiction alongside mental health or medical conditions like chronic pain, and Restore, a residential program for adults with a mental health condition and no active substance use disorder. Across these tracks, patients receive individual and group therapy, DBT skills training, daily 12-step meetings, optional medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders, and a case manager who coordinates aftercare. Families can take part through education and support programming, RCA’s IOP is offered in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format, and specialized care is available for first responders, with an alumni network providing ongoing peer connection after discharge.
