About Range Treatment Center

Range Treatment Center is the substance use disorder program of Range Mental Health Center, a community-based behavioral health provider serving northern Minnesota from Virginia, MN. They treat mainly adults with drug and alcohol problems and also work with families and significant others affected by a loved one’s use. Their care is person-centered and draws on a multidisciplinary team. Services range from short-term detox to residential treatment and outpatient programming.

Their detox unit is a non-locked, 24-hour clinically monitored stabilization setting for people who are acutely intoxicated, staffed by licensed nurses, chemical dependency counselors, and unit assistants. Most stays last one to five days, and staff help with assessments and referrals for anyone ready to move into further treatment. Outpatient groups meet during the day or in the evening, which can make it easier to keep up with work or family responsibilities. Each person receives an individual treatment plan and aftercare recommendations, and people with co-occurring concerns can also reach the wider organization’s outpatient therapy, psychiatry, peer support, and around-the-clock crisis stabilization services.
