About Ramey Estep Homes/ReGroup
Ramey-Estep Homes/Re-group is a nonprofit behavioral health organization serving northeastern Kentucky, with an office in Ashland and a residential campus in nearby Rush. Their roots go back to local orphanage and youth home work beginning in the 1940s and 1950s. Today their Re-group Recovery Services program treats adult men and women with substance use disorders, including those with co-occurring mental health conditions. Care spans residential treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services, with placement guided by ASAM level-of-care screening. They serve clients regardless of ability to pay, offer a sliding fee scale based on income and family size, and accept Kentucky Medicaid, Medicare, and select commercial insurance.
Treatment is individualized, trauma-informed, and built to involve families and other support systems in decisions about care. Licensed clinicians provide individual, group, and family therapy, and an in-house psychiatric nurse practitioner handles medication management and medication-assisted treatment. The intensive outpatient track follows the Matrix Model, with at least nine weekly hours of early recovery, relapse prevention, social support, and family education work. Partial hospitalization offers at least 20 hours a week based on a relapse prevention curriculum. Residential clients also have access to the Living In Balance program, Kentucky-certified peer support specialists, case management, round-the-clock support aides, on-site medical care, and transportation to court dates and outside appointments.
