About Project Hospitality Inc

Project Hospitality is a long-running Staten Island nonprofit that has served the borough for more than 40 years. Alongside housing, food, and healthcare services, they offer addiction treatment through two levels of care: an outpatient recovery program and a structured residential stabilization and rehabilitation program called PREP 820. Their recovery work centers on respectful, personal care matched to each person’s needs and stage of recovery. Treatment is provided in a culturally sensitive setting by clinicians and peer specialists.

The outpatient program, run through their Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Chemical Dependency, offers individual, group, and family counseling, along with relapse prevention and coping skills groups. It also provides dual-diagnosis care for people with co-occurring mental health needs and court-ordered DUI assessment and treatment. PREP 820 is licensed by New York State OASAS and adjusts each person’s plan through ongoing assessment, with services available regardless of ability to pay. Both programs offer medication-assisted treatment with buprenorphine or Vivitrol from nurse practitioners and a physician, and residential clients also get vocational support and help connecting to benefits and housing options.
