About Project Dream Inc

Project Dream Inc, which operates as Dream, Inc., is a Kansas-licensed outpatient substance use agency serving Hays, Russell, and the surrounding communities. Their focus is on assessment, intervention, counseling, and education for people struggling with alcohol or drug use and addiction, as well as the family problems that often come with it. Services include substance use evaluations, outpatient treatment for both teens and adults, continuing care, and alcohol and drug education classes. Anyone can refer themselves, and family members, friends, or professionals are welcome to call with questions before an initial appointment is set up.

The adult outpatient program meets weekly, with both daytime and evening sessions, and a continuing care track supports people stepping down from inpatient treatment. Teens have their own outpatient program, which can include joint parent and teen sessions. Assessments are offered for court-ordered cases, DUIs, case management, and employer referrals, alongside a four-session teen alcohol and drug awareness program and an adult alcohol and drug school whose length depends on the jurisdiction and the assessment results. They also run educational summer Dream Camps for children ages 7 to 11 from families affected by substance use. Telehealth is available for clients outside the Hays area, and as a state-contracted KanCare (Medicaid) provider with local city and county funding, they can offer free services to those who qualify; they also accept Blue Cross Blue Shield.
