About Project Chesapeake LLC

Project Chesapeake is a privately held substance use disorder and mental health counseling organization that opened its first office in Annapolis, Maryland, in 2014 and has since expanded to communities across the state. Their focus is recovery-oriented care that helps people build the stability and skills for long-term sobriety, and they serve both adults and adolescents. Care ranges from traditional outpatient and intensive outpatient counseling to State-licensed, CARF-accredited residential treatment. They also offer outpatient mental health therapy, domestic violence and anger management programs, and medication management.

Their traditional outpatient program (ASAM Level 1) typically runs about 26 weeks for adults and covers addiction education, defense mechanisms, building a sober support network, and relapse prevention, with an adolescent track also available. People who need more support can step up to intensive outpatient (Level 2.1), which combines group and individual counseling for nine to twenty hours a week, with morning and evening groups so clients can keep up with work and family. One-on-one counseling gives clients space to work through trauma, difficult memories, and personal goals alongside their substance use. For residential care, they offer a low-intensity Level 3.1 group-home setting with 24-hour structure and at least five hours of weekly treatment, usually lasting 90 to 180 days, and a high-intensity Level 3.5 program with round-the-clock counselor support for people at serious risk, typically lasting 30 to 90 days.
