Positive Direction Recovery Resources is a residential substance use treatment program for men in Jackson, Louisiana, set in the Feliciana hills about 20 minutes north of Baton Rouge. They treat drug and alcohol addiction with the belief that no one is too far gone to recover, and their approach centers on restoring the mind, body, and spirit. Their 24-bed facility gives men a live-in setting where they can step away from daily pressures and concentrate on the deeper issues behind their substance use.

Treatment combines group and individual therapy, and each client receives a plan built around his specific needs. Group sessions are led by a therapist and lean heavily on peer feedback, reflecting their view that a close-knit community builds a lasting culture of recovery. Individual sessions give each man one-on-one time to work through the personal areas he needs to address for long-term sobriety, and the clinical team includes a board-certified addiction medicine physician and a director of nursing. They accept Louisiana Medicaid, are in-network with Bayou Health plans, take a range of other insurance, and can arrange transportation to the facility.
