About Port Recovery IOP Inc
Port Recovery is an addiction and problem gambling treatment provider in Nottingham, Maryland, founded in 1999 by Shelly Granruth and carrying on her work in the community. They treat substance use disorders, problem gambling, and co-occurring mental health needs, and they believe a structured, immersive residential stay with wrap-around support offers people the strongest footing. Their levels of care include clinically managed residential treatment at the 3.3 level, a partial hospitalization day program, intensive outpatient, and standard outpatient. Many outpatient services are available both in person and virtually.
Residential clients stay anywhere from 30 days to nine months and move through a tiered, step-down structure at their own pace. After that, they can transition into supportive housing while still in treatment or continue care on an outpatient basis. Beyond counseling, residents get case management and help with benefits, employment, and long-term housing. Peer support staff who specialize in re-entry after incarceration help with tasks like obtaining ID, restoring driving privileges, and handling legal obligations. People on court orders or on methadone or Suboxone are welcome, and the medication-assisted treatment program prescribes Suboxone and other maintenance medications alongside psychiatric medications and therapy. Long-term residential gambling treatment, on-site primary care, and DUI education that meets Maryland and neighboring states’ requirements round out their services.
